About AHT

AHT is a database covering all areas of the hospitality and tourism industries and their management. It is produced by the libraries of Oxford Brookes University and the University of Surrey. Bournemouth University contributed data between 1988 and 1998.

AHT provides details of English language articles selected from academic and trade journals published worldwide from 1984 to 2003. There are more than 46,000 articles listed in the database.

Each entry gives details of the author, title and bibliographical reference of the article. Each entry is also given a short note describing the content of the article, subject headings consisting of either Hospitality Industry or Tourism Industry plus a more detailed subject heading, and index entries.

If you are searching AHT from a library which has a Web journals catalogue, you may be able to click on the journal name for each entry and connect to your own library catalogue to see if you have the journal in stock. And if your library has put a hotlink into your catalogue, you may be able to link to the full text of the article. If you do not have access to the journal, please use your normal inter library loan service to request a copy of the article.
